Start with a shared addon file and personal saved progress. Real synchronization between members is a separate feature that needs its own design and in-game tests.
Choose a tool with an obvious payoff
A raid preparation checklist is a useful first build. It can remind members to repair gear, bring consumables, read the briefing, or check voice chat. The first version can be entirely manual: members tick the items themselves.
Other focused ideas include a raid-note window, a role-specific preparation list, or a personal reminder board. Define who uses the tool and when it appears. A reminder shown at the wrong time quickly becomes another window people close.
Write a brief your members would understand
Use the names and actions your guild already uses. Decide which items are required, who can edit the list, and how members reset it for the next raid. Be explicit about whether the current version is personal or synchronized.
- Audience: every raider, one role, or officers only.
- Trigger: slash command, manual button, or a supported event.
- Contents: a short list of specific preparation tasks.
- Storage: save progress locally and define when it resets.
- Sharing: versioned addon files first; live synchronization only if requested and tested.
Try it with a small group first
Send the same version to a few members with different UI scales and roles. Ask them to open it, tick items, reload, and reset their progress. Capture exact errors before rolling it out to the rest of the guild.
Keep a short change note with each ZIP. Replacing files without telling members what changed makes troubleshooting harder. If a new version changes saved data, test how it handles an existing member’s settings.
The creator needs the plan; the guild gets the addon
ForeverMods plans are individual creator accounts. Guild members do not need their own subscription to install and use the downloaded addon you share. AI creation and edits use the creator’s credits; the addon does not need a ForeverMods subscription to keep running.
The Guildmaster plan is designed for frequent building and iteration, with 1,000 credits each week at $149 per month when paid subscriptions launch. It does not include shared account seats or guarantee a particular synchronization feature.
A prompt to get you started
Build a WoW Forever raid preparation checklist for my guild. Include repair gear, bring consumables, read the raid briefing, and join voice chat. Each member saves their own progress locally. Add a reset button for the next raid and /raidprep to open it. Keep it compact and draggable. This first version does not sync between players.Use this prompt Opens the builder with this idea filled in. You choose when to build.
